We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to manage the lifecycle of our partner's medical platform’s ongoing development and enhancement efforts. This advanced visualization platform provides radiologists access to state-of-the-art 2D-3D advanced visualization applications, allows diagnostic medical image review, collaboration among physicians, and integrates processing capabilities into the routine workflow. The team is responsible for:
- Enhancing the licensing solution for on-premise devices
- Enhancing the platform’s media and final output generation
As an enthusiastic Scrum Master, you will be responsible for one cross-functional development team to deliver new product increments. Day-to-day activities include closely working with Product Owners, Developers, QAs, portfolio, and program management.
Your critical thinking is crucial to our future success. In addition to your Scrum Master duties, you will spend 50% of your time actively participating in either automated testing or development, specifically in Java.
Tasks
In this role, you will:
- Serve one Scrum team in an environment striving for consistent, predictable, high-quality delivery, and provide mentorship and coaching to less seasoned peers
- Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies with a focus on guiding the teams by implementing effective agile practices
- Empower the teams to self-organize and self-manage
- Identify and remove impediments and external dependencies blocking the team
- Actively manage project status, achievements, and risks to internal and external stakeholders
- Help the team achieve higher levels of Scrum maturity
- Contribute to the local Agile community by sharing best practices and other relevant information with peers across teams
- Approach others with empathy and understand multiple aspects of demanding situations
- Actively participate in the Quality Assurance of the functions delivered by the team
- Actively participate in developing new functionalities or enhancing existing features, particularly in Java or automated testing
- Assist the team in documentation when required
Expectations
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent
- 3 years experience as a Scrum Master
- Previous experience as a Java developer or automated testing is required, as this will constitute 50% of your role
- General understanding of the impacts of technology choice on the software development life cycle
- Ability to lead by example through maintaining Agile values every day, with skills and knowledge in leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and empowerment
- Hands-on experience in Agile delivery environments, metrics, and reporting techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong mediation, and negotiation skills
- A “can-do”, self-motivated, flexible attitude
- People-focused mindset
- Active advanced English knowledge (both verbal and written)
It's a plus if you have:
- ISTQB Foundation Level certificate or higher is a plus
- Experience with SAFe
- Experience in Linux/Unix
- Experience in the development of medical devices
