Tasks

  • Work closely with system engineers, frontend developers, and software developers to create solutions that align with and build upon shared platforms and systems.
  • Utilize SDLC principles and methodologies like Lean, Agile, XP, Continuous Integration, Product and Software Security, Scalability, Documentation best practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.
  • Write code that adheres to standards and meets project requirements, using the appropriate technology for the task.
  • Develop features such as web services and queries on existing database tables.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and analyze application performance.
  • Work with core data structures and algorithms, implementing them in the chosen programming language.

Expectations

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or equivalent knowledge.
  • Over 3 years of experience in software engineering or a recent graduate with a degree in software engineering.
  • Familiarity with a frontend development framework (such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, BackboneJS, EmberJS, KnockoutJS, with a preference for AngularJS).
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment, or basic training in Lean/Agile principles, with knowledge of continuous integration (CI) practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, focusing on code quality, testability, maintainability, and documentation.
  • Proficient in English.
